S. K. Ghosh received M. Sc. in physics and Ph. D. in Microwave Engineering from Banaras Hindu University and IIT BHU (Formerly IT BHU), Varanasi, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He is currently working as Chief Scientist and Professor at CSIR-CEERI. Before joining CEERI, Dr Ghosh was associated with BEL, Bangalore, India, over a decade. Presently, he is associated with design and development of various microwave tubes. He has published more than 250 research papers in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has indigenously designed and developed several vacuum microwave tubes for strategic importance. He has also developed in-house analytical code which is rigorously used for helix TWT design.
