PC Panchariya is Chief Scientist, group head of Signal Analytics Group at CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani; involved in development of intelligent measurement systems having applications in tea, sugar, dairy and food industries. He is also Professor at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi. He received M.Sc. (Physics with specialization in electronics) followed by M.S. and Ph.D. in instrumentation engineering science from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He has R&D experience of around 23 years. He has about 25 research publications in peer-reviewed journals or international conferences and 7 patents (filed).
Dr. Panchariya has supervised several Ph.D., masters and under-graduate students for thesis and project work. He is associated with professional societies like Life Fellow of MSI (India) & IETE (India), etc. He is recipients of DAAD fellowship (2000-2002) at Institute of automation, University of Bremen, Germany. He has received best paper award in World Congress on Lateral Computing in Dec. 2004, Bangalore, India.
He has been instrumental in numerous R&D projects related to tea and dairy industries. Some of his achievements include the development of control system for tea withering process, development of electronic tongue, system for detection of adulteration in milk and various affordable milk analysers for Indian dairy.
Research in development of novel techniques and algorithms in Machine Learning and chemometrics for various sensor signal processing applied for quantitative as well as qualitative assessment of quality of foods and agro products is his key interest.
Area of Specialization: Electronics & Intelligent systems which includes development of sensors & signal conditioning, measurement systems, process automation, communication systems having applications in dairy, food, tea manufacturing, sugar manufacturing, mushroom cultivation and coal mines industries.
