INTRODUCTION
National Science Day is a momentous occasion celebrated annually in India on February 28th. It commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman on February 28, 1928, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. This day holds immense significance as it pays homage to scientific achievements and promotes the importance of science in our lives. National Science Day fosters collaborations between the scientific community, academia, industries, and the government. It provides a platform for networking, sharing knowledge, and discussing challenges and opportunities in various scientific domains. Such collaborations are crucial for translating scientific research into practical applications that benefit society and drive economic
growth.
Celebrating this day also highlights the indigenous scientific achievements of a country. EVENT ORGANIZER CORNER
- This year marks a momentous occasion as Vigyan Bharati Rajasthan, CSIR-CEERI Pilani, University of Rajasthan, and DST Rajasthan collaboratively joined hands to celebrate the Rajasthan Vigyan Mahotsav and National Science Day from February 26th to 28th, 2024. This event symbolises a harmonious convergence of scientific excellence and collaborative efforts to foster innovation and scientific awareness in Rajasthan.
- The Mahotsav will be a vibrant platform, bringing together CSIR labs, Academic Institutions, Industries, Start-ups, Academic Institutions, and Policymakers. It will showcase cutting-edge research, technological advancements, and entrepreneurial endeavours emerging from the region.
- Participants can engage in workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and interactive sessions, providing a unique blend of learning and networking. The event will celebrate the spirit of scientific inquiry and encourage dialogue and collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
- Furthermore, the Mahotsav will unveil insightful thoughts and strategies by policymakers, setting the stage for informed decision-making and policy formulation in science and technology.
- Overall, the Rajasthan Vigyan Mahotsav promises to be a dynamic and inclusive celebration of science, innovation, and collaboration, driving the state towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
