A Beam Stick Tube which consists of the electron gun and collector suitable for use in actual klystron has been tested to evaluate electron beam transmission characteristics in presence of focusing magnetic field (Fig. 1). The desired beam transmission characteristics have been achieved. The RF cavity having a resonant frequency of 352.2 MHz has been cold tested (Fig. 2). Based upon the cold test results, all parts for the input cavity and three intermediate cavities were fabricated. A number of sub-assemblies for the electron gun and RF interaction region were developed.
