A test diode of 10 kW CW Magnetrons was fabricated and mounted on the ultra-high vacuum (UHV) station for vacuum processing (Fig. 1a). Complete ovening and baking of the tube have been performed with a vacuum of the order of 10-9Torr along with the cathode activation. The emission from the cathode has been attained by applying heater voltage up to 6.5 V with a heater current of ~33 Amp. Anode current has been drawn partially (Fig. 1b). Further testing of the 10 kW CW magnetron test diode is under process.
