Professional Profile
Dr. Satyam Srivastava is a Scientist-E and leading Biomedical Electronics Laboratory in the Applied Electronics Group at CSIR–Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI), Pilani. He received his Ph.D. (2020) and M.Tech. (2014) from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi, with research carried out at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. He obtained his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET), Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur.
His doctoral research focused on non-destructive sensing techniques for on-tree fruit quality inspection using multimodal sensing, signal processing, and data fusion algorithms. His current research focuses on the development of ultra-low-power embedded systems, Edge AI, Internet of Things (IoT), multimodal sensing, and intelligent data analytics for biomedical, water, food, and environmental monitoring applications. His research has resulted in several indigenous technologies including AI-enabled medical devices, portable diagnostic systems, wearable healthcare devices, minimally invasive surgical systems, and smart water quality monitoring platforms.
Dr. Srivastava has successfully transferred around 18 technologies to industry, with most of them commercialized and launched in the Indian and global markets. He has served as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) in more than 20 nationally funded R&D projects sponsored by various Government of India agencies. He has authored more than 20 research papers in SCI journals and international conferences and has secured more than 20 Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), including patents, software copyrights, and design registrations. He actively collaborates with academia, hospitals, industries, and government organizations for the development and commercialization of indigenous healthcare and environmental monitoring technologies.
