Dr. Rahul Prajesh is senior scientist in semiconductor device fabrication group, at CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani. He received his M.Tech degree in Advance Semiconductor Electronics (ASE) from AcSIR (CSIR-CEERI, Pilani). During PhD he worked in the area of metal oxide gas sensors at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani (AcSIR). His research includes silicon nanowire fabrication using CMOS compatible top down approach, micro-heater based metal oxide gas sensing platforms, RTD based temperature sensors, and Bio Sensors.

Research Interest

  • Gas sensor platforms, Chemical/ bio-chemical sensors, gas sensing materials, piezo electric materials, Temperature sensors, Mass air flow sensors, micro-nano technologies, surface characterization techniques.

  • Development of E mode III-Nitride devices for energy-optimized Agile power electronics (Co-PI) (DST-CZech) (2021-2023)
  • Indigenous design, development & fabrication of MEMS technology-based pressure and temperature sensor for Indian navy and pilot demonstration of wireless communication scheme with the sensors through CSIR-CEERI, Pilani (Co-PI) (Indian Navy) (2019-2022)
  • Rapid, low cost fluorescent AIE-based detection of renal dysfunction from urine samples and fabrication of portable and real time device (Member) (DBT) (2021-2024)
