She received the M.sc Degree in Physics from IIT Roorkee, India, and Ph.D. degree in Plasma Physics from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India, in 2002 and 2012, respectively. From 2004-2010, she worked on plasma based devices like dielectric barrier discharge for VUV/UV excimer sources, Thyratron and Pseudospark Switches for pulsed power applicationsat CSIR- CEERI as a CSIR Research Intern and later as a CSIR-SRF.Since 2010, she has been with the CSIR-CEERI as a scientist and working on design, development and testing of high power millimeter wave gyrotronsource. From 2015 January to 2016 April, she held a postdoctoral appointment at Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI), South Korea. She has authoured/co-authored 22 research papers in scientific journals and 38 conference proceeding articles.

Specific skill: Developing user friendly code based on analytical equations for operating mode selection, coupling coefficient, out power and efficiency analyses, modeling of high non linear tapered opened interaction structure, cold testing of critical components using VNA, electrical testingof MIG under magnetic field for beam parameters analyses, RF power and frequency testing of gyrotron using cost effective and simple method.

Areas of Interest: High power millimeter wave devices like gyrotron, RF testing and characterizations, Gaussian wave-optics, Photonic crystal based high power millimeter wave oscillator, large bore high field magnet system.
