Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Kharbanda is currently working as Principal Scientist in the Semiconductor Process Technology Group at CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani. He received his Ph.D. degree under the faculty of Engineering Sciences and M. Tech in Advanced Semiconductor Electronics from Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
He is working with CSIR-CEERI, Pilani since 2012. He has been involved in the successful execution of various International/National projects including projects from DRDO, REIL and CSIR. He has received an Excellence in Services and Process Innovation Award for “Design and Development of Thick-film Sensor Electrodes for Societal and Strategic Applications”. His expertise lies in design and fabrication of Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (LTCC) based packages and devices. He has 30 publications in SCI journals and conferences. He also has one patent (filed) and has contributed to two book chapters, three technical articles in magazines/ technical report.
His research work is focused on development of customized packaging for MEMS and microsensors, thick-film alumina based packaging, LTCC packaging and integration, piezoelectric sensors, microheaters, sensor electrodes, development of RF/ microwave components in LTCC etc. He is the fellow of IETE and life-time member of Vijana Bharati (VIBHA), India
