Dr Bhausaheb Ashok Botre is Principal Scientist of Signal Analytics Group at CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR – CEERI), Pilani; involved in design and development of Electronic and Intelligent Instrumentation systems for applications in water, food, automation and robotic industries. He is also Associate Professor at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi. He has received B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degree in Electronic Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India, in 2000, 2002, and 2009 respectively. He has 13 years of multidisciplinary R&D experience and published about 44 research papers in International/National Journals & conferences.
Dr. Botre has supervised several masters and under-graduate students for thesis and project work. He is associated with professional societies like member of IEEE (India) & ISOI (India), etc. He is recipient of Senior Research Fellowship, CSIR, India. He has also received travel fellowships from various agencies like NSF, USA, and DST, India, to present his research work in international conferences. He has received best paper awards in various national and international conferences. He has strong portfolio of publications, experienced in writing successful project proposals and reviewer for international journals and Phd thesis.
He has strong back-ground and hands-on experience of R&D in modelling, automation and process control of clean water RO plant for brackish water, Desalination of Sea Water, Electronic Nose system, Gas sensor system for environment monitoring, AI controlled SMA actuator and robotics for societal applications like e – tricycle and AUV.
His research and teaching interests include design and development of intelligent electronic instrumentation systems, readout circuit and intelligent machine learning based systems (design, simulation, modelling, characterization and validation), real time embedded system for measurement and control, sensor signal processing, and decision making for agriculture, medical, automation and societal applications.
