Akhilesh Mishra received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi, Kerala, India, in 2017. He was awarded a national fellowship CSIR GATE-Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF) by the CSIR-HRDG, Government of India to pursue his research work at CSIR-CEERI (AcSIR) through the GATE-2019 national examination qualification. He completed his M.Tech. in Advanced Electronics Engineering (AEE) from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, India, in 2021. He was awarded his Ph.D. degree in Engineering Sciences (ES) from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, India, in 2025. He joined as a Technical Officer at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani in May 2025.

Member of IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS), IEEE Communications Society, and IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS).

Research Interest:

Vacuum electron devices, cold & hot cathode-based high-power plasma switches (thyratron and pseudospark), high voltage engineering, pulsed gas discharge, plasma physics, pulsed power technology, pseudospark discharge-based electron beam generation, pulsed electric field, and dielectric barrier discharge (DBD).
