[Notice] Last Date of extension of online application for PhD program of AcSIR

The AcSIR’s admission portal has been opened for August-2023 session. The last date of submission of online application is April 10, 2023 (Extended date). Please see <http://acsir.res.in/admission/>  for the online application process, and more information.

The following AcSIR-PhD programme with tentatively indicated seats for August 2023 Session are available at CSIR-CEERI :

Programme Seats Eligibility
PhD (Engg) 15 seats ME/MTech & (eligibility for fellowship or good academic/research records) or Project Assistants/Senior Research Fellows/Scientists/Group-III* Employees at CSIR-CEERI
PhD (Sc) 15 seats Candidates with a Master’s degree in Science or equivalent are eligible to apply. The candidate should be having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/ SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.) or any other equivalent fellowship like INSPIRE, RGNF etc. or Project Assistants/Senior Research Fellows/Scientists/Group-III* employees at CSIR-CEERI.

For Sponsored PhD (Sciences): Candidates with a Master’s degree in Science or equivalent are eligible to apply with endorsement from Industry, Academic or Research Institutes for required academic leave and financial support during program.
Integrated Dual Degree PhD (IDDP) 15 seats BE/BTech/MSc & (eligibility for fellowship or good academic/research records) or Project Assistants/Senior Research Fellows/Scientists/Group-III* employees at CSIR-CEERI

* Subject to the approval of Director, CSIR-CEERI

Note: Mere applying to the programme and satisfying the eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting/selection into the programme.

Also, note that CSIR-CEERI employees, who fulfil the academic qualifications and eligibility criteria as per AcSIR guidelines should apply through proper channel.

The broad area of research is aligned to current theme areas and R&D focus at CSIR-CEERI in the field of Electronics focusing on (i) Advanced Information Technologies (ii) High-Frequency Devices and System (iii) High-Power Microwave Systems Group (iv) Integrated Circuits and Systems, (v) Semiconductor Process Technologies (vi) Semiconductor Sensors and Microsystems, and (vii) Vaccum Electron Devices etc.

Candidates wishing to work in the multi-/transdisciplinary areas aligned to current theme areas and R&D focus of CSIR-CEERI are also encouraged to apply.
