CSIR-CEERI being the premier organization in the country; design, development and production of microwave tubes have been emphasized since the inception of the institute. Vacuum Electron Devices Development (VEDD) Group works with inspirational and self-driven people with a common vision, aligned with the National Missions; i) to become globally renowned for scientific knowledge, research excellence and innovative technology in microwave tubes, plasma devices and new generation microwave, millimetre wave and THz technologies, with high societal and strategic impact; ii) to collaborate with industries for innovative product development; iii) to deliver technologies for strategic requirements and industrial needs and to nurture and motivate the disruptive innovations for entrepreneurship in the area of vacuum tubes and microwave technologies; and (iv) to nurture the academic and scientific pursuit for manpower development.
